Great Christmas atmosphere and comfortable beds. Front desk could use more staff.

The location was stunning and unbeatable, very close to the airport with easy access to a supermarket and stores. The breakfast was excellent, good priced and on the spot.
Didn't like the area, it was extremely busy.

It's a beautiful hotel integrating the old features of the castle with a modern hotel. The social spaces are very well designed and used, yet when there are weddings or big social events sadly the castle is too small. The food is very good and the breakfast is fantastic, a very good variety of choices. The rooms are well decorated, the lights though somewhat too dim and difficult for reading, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms with very good showers.

The hotel is beautiful. They did a great job of mixing the castle with a modern building. Staff was great, Dubliners in genreral are the nicest people you will meet in any city in the world. Price was great compared to what a room in the middle of town will cost.
Location, you are only a few miles from town but even with a car it will take you 15-20 minutes. The public transportation is great but after a night in the city I did not want to spend another 30 minutes+ getting back to the room. Breakfast is very expensive and you have to pay for the full breakfast even if you just want toast and coffee. I was over charged by over 200 EUR for my room when I checked out. I was able to get this straightened out after about 15 minutes, I was just glad that I kept the booking confirmation or I would have been stuck paying a lot more for the room. I had noticed when I checked in that another guest was having the same issue so maybe this standard practice?
