Not bad, but doesn’t come cheap
I was truly impressed by the warm welcome we got, made us feel like royalty. The room was super clean, the bathroom had a two-person shower, absolutely loved it.
It wasn't exactly a bargain, with prices that could make anyone think twice.

Clontarf's dining offerings were a feast worth raving about! Breakfast was a solid start to the day, with a buffet fit for a king. Plus, the Fahrenheit restaurant served up a three-course meal that was pure culinary bliss. Our stay felt special with these taste adventures!
Now, the room service was a downer. We ordered tea and toasted sandwiches, but everything arrived cold. The bread was stale, and the tea cup had seen better days. While it was a bummer, the overall charm of the place still brought a smile.

Charming atmosphere with beautiful decor. Enjoyed the golf course nearby. Shower pressure was weak in our room.

missingWrote a review on 26 Juncastle atmosphereindigo loungebreakfast issues
The stunning castle atmosphere captures the attention right from the grand entrance with its beautiful stone architecture and suits of armor on display. Rooms offer a mix of historic charm paired with modern comfort, and the Indigo Lounge provides a unique, relaxing spot to unwind with a cocktail.
The stay had a few hiccups worth mentioning. The breakfast experience fell short of expectations, with long waits for service and empty buffet trays, while the rooms felt a bit basic for the price paid. The temperature inside the castle was noticeably chilly. additional heating or a working fireplace would have made the atmosphere cozier. Additionally, its location is a fair distance from central attractions, requiring a taxi or bus ride, which could be inconvenient without a personal vehicle. We experienced an unfortunate incident with housekeeping, where some personal items left out were mistakenly taken, which left a bad impression.

The hotel is a hidden gem with stunning architecture and a majestic lobby. Our family, including our three dogs, enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and quick access to St Anne's Park for long walks and playtime. The bar area had a great atmosphere, perfect for relaxation.
My kids wished the spa facilities were more kid-friendly. It would be great to have designated family areas or activities to keep them entertained during our stay.

Finding the hotel entrance was a bit tricky.

Had an awesome time with friends! We explored the charming St Anne's Park, just a 15-minute walk away, and enjoyed the peaceful vibes of the nearby golf courses. The relaxed atmosphere made our stay enjoyable, especially after the fun we had in the Knight's bar.
One downside was the room had some issues. the bathroom could use a refresh and the shower wasn’t great. It’s not the 4-star experience I expected, but we made the most of our time there.

missingWrote a review on 02 Aprstunning settingauthentic touchluxurious teabed issuesslow serviceunstocked toiletries
Clontarf Castle has a stunning setting, really gives off that castle vibe. The artwork and historical artifacts added an authentic touch. My room looked exactly like the photos online, which was a relief. The staff were friendly, especially the ones at Fusion Tea—afternoon tea was a highlight, very luxurious and delicious. However, my room wasn't ready upon arrival, had to follow up a couple of times. The bed rolled around more than I liked, and it was a hassle to get toiletries that should've been stocked. The dining options left a lot to be desired. the lunch buffet was decent, but dinner was a letdown with poorly executed dishes and very slow service. Room service wasn’t great either—my burger was dry, and the wine arrived corked. I appreciate the ambiance of the Knights Bar, but the food really should be improved. Overall, it felt more like a tourist trap than a luxury stay at times.

The stay featured beautiful surroundings and a peaceful ambiance. Breakfast was ample with a diverse selection, and the staff was professional and helpful. However, an alarming incident involving noise and intoxicated guests left me feeling unsafe, impacting my overall experience. Regrettably, there was no visible security presence to manage the situation, which was deeply concerning and disappointing after many prior visits.
